ccupational health consulting service
Occupational Health Consulting was part of the early days. As an advocate and information resource for seniors, we focused our attention on the real issues about healthcare and the basics that one should know as a requirement to sustain life economically in this current day in age. As healthcare consultants, our primary goal for us is to close the gap and provide substantive knowledge between those who have and those who have not about health insurance, eligibility and entitlements. We reasoned that increases in cost of living, shrinking savings and lengthening life-span have become monumental issues across the board especially, for those who have chosen the alternative in delaying retirement and are continuing to work in favor of employment beyond the retirement age.
research a convergence of several beneficial workplace, personal and economy-building factors that favored employment beyond customary retirement age were identified. Among these were:
A seasoned workforce would mean increased productivity.
Employer benefit-cost could be reduced by the difference between lower-cost Medicare Part B and Part C enrollment, and higher premiums required by actuarial increases.
Pride of independence for seniors could be extended.
Personal savings would grow.
economy and GNP would benefit from the expanded tax base, increased social security input and decreased social security draw-down.
introducing a federal insurance program
Dec 23, 2014
The employer service offered is an approved federal program developed by Polished Sculpture, LLC and is structured to improve an organization's financial outlook and elevate an employee's overall well-being by providing expanded health care benefits that support to an individual's current lifestyle. The immediate benefit to an organization is the ability control cost and present "Age Relevance" to their employees.
The program, acknowledged by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Chief Justice Law Office, addresses the future effect and overall population impact on the topic of aging and ageism in the workplace.
The program recognizes the paradigm shift in our nation's aging landscape and the economic impact on business, and demonstrates an understanding of the law and our ability to contribute to recalibration of the corporate benefits model.
A point of legal uncertainty surfaced as Leverson suggested that employers be allowed to reimburse worker Personal premium costs rather than include seniors in their standard medical insurance benefit package.
Elevation of the question first presented to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Office in San Francisco and then to the EEOC in Washington, D.C., resulted in 8 months of review followed by an opinion directed to Mr. Leverson that, in general, confirmed and endorsed his position - Dec 23, 2014
A large business chain in Hawaii was first to adopt the Polished Sculpture senior's employment continuation model. (The chain remains a client today.) Meticulously tabulated results verified substantial corporate savings with respect to factor (2.) above, and agreement that all five of the beneficial factors were realized.
Success of senior's employment called attention to Polished Sculpture and drew support for expansion into the healthcare exchange arena.
After extensive research and development, site building, application rounds, testing and demonstration, Polished Sculpture was certified as a Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) by the centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Private Healthcare Exchange.
The Polished Sculpture Healthcare Exchange was officially established in June of 2015 as one of the nation's Privately held corporations and the only FFM at the time representing the State of Hawaii.
While at this point in time the final configuration of the Affordable Care Act ( ACA) is undetermined, Polished Sculpture is poised to assist with implementation of whatever blueprint is next.
Back to the present
Today Occupational Health Consulting (OHC) provides healthcare related information and operations support for business, the insurance industry, and organizations that maintain benefit plans, while continuing to address individual situation issues such as the fine points of Medicare Parts A, B, C and "What combination is best for me? Person to person attention, the foundation of Polished Sculpture, remains a part of ongoing service offerings.
OHC continually reviews the most recent federal health programs (ACA, Medicare and Medicaid) and insurance company offerings in order to provide solid recommendations to organizations unable to keep pace with the rapidly fluctuating health landscape, yet vitally interested in cost and efficacy for their workforce.

principles that apply to health and disability administrative procedure.
At this juncture of history [June of 2017] there is high anxiety in healthcare generated by unusual uncertainty in the future of the ACA, universal coverage, individual mandate penalty, pre-existing condition status, insurance premium levels, and even the (remote) possibility of defunding Medicare/Medicaid. All fear the impact - individuals, employers, insurance companies, pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, health workers, and medical device manufacturers.
Because of our own in-depth research and due-diligence record, Polished Sculpture is positioned to quickly react to each new development with information, advice and facilitated enrollment.
It is important to note that with respect to health and wellness in the workplace, "one-size-fits-all" is outdated. Our research is up-to-date and our recommendations cover a wide range of occupational health goals among which are: sufficient employee coverage, workplace stress reduction, cost control, adequate records management and job satisfaction.
